Investing in climate action is not just about compliance: it is the foundation for long term resilience, ensuring operational stability and sustained growth.
Minimum commitment for Member Companies
Within 12 months from effective membership, sign and submit the Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTi) commitment letter.
For SMEs (as defined by SBTi), within 24 months from effective membership:
- Identify boundaries and calculate your baseline GHG emissions.
- Identify fossil-fuel reduction opportunities.
- Develop and disclose a ‘headline’ Climate Transition Plan using existing SME-focused frameworks and tools.
Within 36 months from effective membership:
- Complete SBTi SME registration.
- Develop a detailed roadmap to enable meeting SBTi commitments.
WJI 2030 Resource: Climate Change Navigator
Launched in 2024, the climate navigator aims to provide practical guidance, tools, and insights to support companies advance on their climate journey. It represents an actionable toolkit to enable companies of all sizes to prepare and submit emissions reduction targets and take actions to align with SBTi guidance and requirements.
